Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We have a diverse group of students at McElwain Elementary. We have students with different cultural backgrounds and different ability levels. It's important to ensure that regardless of all those things that all students feel safe to move and learn in the gym. Having safe boundaries and indicators in my classroom is one of the most important steps in teaching a physical education lesson. Having cones with colors allows me to designate spots where students can identify their learning area. Numbered spots also help students no where to stand before, during, and after an activity.
