In working with the special needs population of our schools, these students have very limited, if any, access to adaptive physical education.
I will be able to use the equipment to create a safe and adaptive physical education settings.
For example, the mini putters combined with the flat hula hoops make for a challenging yet attainable gym game of mini golf! Additionally, the team building tarps and such an unknown yet great adaptive piece of equipment. No matter if the student is in a wheelchair, only has use of one strong arm or no physical impairments the tarp can be held by all classmates and manipulated as one group!
