My Project

This project will allow me to purchase physical education equipment for all different ages and ability levels. It will help enhance the PE program at our school.

The equipment is versatile and can be used for several different games and activities.

The rainbow baskets will allow students to practice sorting by color. Sorting activities can help students develop fundamental skills that will benefit them both inside and outside of the classroom. An active way to each sorting in PE is a relay race. Student can use different locomotor movements while sorting items of various colors into the baskets. This is a great way to combine physical activity with cognitive skills. The baskets can also be used as goals in multiple games. The baskets and cart will also be used for organizing equipment.

The floor basketball hoop will help provide a modification to students who need a lower basketball hoop. Having a hoop lower will help students feel success when shooting.

The nutrition beanbags and sort bags will not only help students sort by color, but students will also learn to sort foods based on which food group they belong to. There are numerous games that we can play in PE that will combine the knowledge of food groups with physical activity.

The tunnels can be used for several activities such as an obstacle course, putt putt golf course, and various motor skill development activities. Crawling, climbing, and exploring through tunnels can help develop gross motor skills, balance, and coordination. Crawling can help improve physical strength, mobility, and stamina.

This new equipment will help me make PE a fun and meaningful experience for every student.
