Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For my students, P.E. Is their favorite time of day. They love learning what new game they will be playing each day. However, I am often limited in what games we can play due to a lack of P.E. Equipment.
My students need more PE equipment so they can improve their social-emotional and mental health.
The pandemic forced them to remain inside with little contact with others and no way to play sports. This resulted in difficulties getting along with others and engaging in team sports.
The scooters and paddles will be used to help students engage in additional games that I cannot play unless I have these items. The tug of war rope is a great way to engage all students at once and teach them to work together.
If I receive funding, my students will be able to learn how to get along with others, work as a team, and be more active. This will encourage them to get out more and exercise so that they can have healthier minds and bodies.
