Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students love to play outside and are very interested in learning new sports! We know that their mental and physical health is critical to being ready to persevere through their school day with joy.

We would like to have each of our classrooms possess all the equipment they need to learn the valuable life skills associated with learning the rules and practicing team and individual sports with their classroom teacher.

Based on a school-wide survey of students in grades Kindergarten to sixth grade, we have determined that our students want regular access to the choices of tetherball, dodgeball, basketball, soccer, flag football, jump rope, capture the flag, and four-square.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
