This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
There are over 400 students in our school. There is a large population of English language learners, many who are new to the country. They are eager to learn and enjoy every minute of it. My students are both general and special education students. They are all amazing kids! These virtual courses will teach additional strategies so that I can be a better educator for my amazing students.
Studies show that teacher quality is the most influential factor that can determine student success.
This is why teachers should never stop learning! With the information gained in these online courses, I can be a better advocate for my students! I will be able to support their social-emotional development while they learn English. I will take classes to help students with writing, dyslexia, reading interventions, technology, STEM, and English language learner strategies. I will learn writing, math concepts, financial literacy, science, social studies, and more. All the knowledge gained from these courses will be utilized in my classroom and shared with my peers. Together we are better.
