Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students learn best through hands-on opportunities.
Engaging project-based learning opportunities allow keiki to solve real-world problems, build their identity, and enhance their critical thinking skills all while having fun.
They will utilize the clay, mod podge, straws, skewers, and foam to create a model of a civilization.
They will enhance their mathematical skills through the development of their own restaurant, which includes them presenting their project in their apron.
They will use the coat hangers to create a life-size autobiography, and headphones to listen to videos as they research the person they will write about.
The pizza box, measuring cups, and spoons will allow keiki to put their fraction skills to the test by developing a specialty pizza of their own.
The cups, plates, popsicle sticks, and tape will be utilized to make a theme park.
Lastly, the goody bags and treats will given to them at the end of the quarter to celebrate their accomplishments.
