Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I work in a social emotional and behavioral classroom setting, therefore creating a positive and motivating environment is one of the main focuses within our classroom.

Each one of my students come to me in hopes to improve their ability to work towards going back into the regular classroom environment by learning to follow expectations set in a smaller environment.

Our school uses PBIS reward points to celebrate student success for behavior and academics. Each week students can use their points to get things out of the reward store. This is the highlight to their week, they enjoy getting to see the rewards out of the effort they put in throughout the week. However, continually stocking these rewards can come at a financial challenge, which is why I am asking for items to fill their rewards store with even more items to motivate them.
