Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students at my school are full of energy and love to learn! They are so intrigued and engaged in their learning, and are so happy to be back in school this year! I teach in Waukegan, IL. The student population is diverse, and we do our best to meet the specific needs of each child. Using a variety of research-based methods, we meet each child at the level they are at, and then provide specific supports and learning strategies to monitor the students' growth. It is so amazing to see students' excitement for learning!
My Project
We want to maintain a positive and supportive learning environment at Glen Flora, where students are motivated and excited to come to school each day. Each month we are planning PBIS events and celebrations for those students who reach attendance goals and make positive behavior choices. Please help our school by providing incentives for students who do their best each day. We would like fidget spinners as students have been asking for them as a reward incentive, along with squishes and smelly pencils. We feel students will connect with these types of rewards and celebrations, and try their best to reach our school-wide PBIS goals
