My Students

Our students are full of energy, inquisitive, work hard every day to impress their peers, parents, and teachers and are simply some of the hardest working kiddos I have had the opportunity to work with. Every day they show up with smiles, positive attitudes, and an eagerness to learn.

They go above and beyond to help each other within the classroom and on the playground.

Our students work hard due to their own intrinsic motivations but are also motivated by extrinsic rewards.

My Project

Our school staff continuously recognizes students for meeting behavioral expectations from anywhere in the school, not just the classroom. With our PBIS rewards system, teachers, staff, and administrators recognize and acknowledge positive student behavior by giving students a golden ticket! Currently, our students have the opportunity to save the ticket for a classroom prize or drop the ticket into a raffle for an opportunity to select a small prize and have their name called on the announcements. When asking the students what would motivate them to earn more golden tickets, they decided a School Store with exciting items to choose from would be great to have once a month. Therefore, we are starting a school store where students can save up their tickets and purchase what they want!
