Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am teaching my students about empathy, compassion, and paying it forward. Thus, as a class, we discussed the importance of helping our community. We also picked who we wanted to donate to.

We decided we would like to donate to The Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.

Since I teach at an elementary school, I want my students to practice kindness and generosity by giving delicious and healthy snacks to children and their families like: apple sauce, pistachios, breakfast bars, plantain chips, and edamame.

A little something to bring a smile to their faces, along with a kind and encouraging message can make their day!

I hope my student will learn from this awesome experience and apply their learning to other aspects of their lives.
