PAWSitive Peer

My Project

Pawsitive Peers is a program in my district that allows therapy dogs to come to school with staff members. Staff members and the dog must complete 12 weeks of training and pass a test to be able to come on campuses. I completed the training and test with my dog, Pinny.

As a Pawsitive Peer, Pinny serves as a trusted companion on campus to support crisis intervention, behavioral de-escalation, and address students' needs.

The materials in this project will support Pinny so that she can be well rested in between in her time supporting students.
