My Project

Our students love reading books about cats and dogs or featuring them as the main character. We're looking to update our library shelves with fun titles that will warm their hearts and teach them about these furry friends. These books will be found in our nonfiction, graphic novel, and picture book section-capturing a variety of readers.

Help me give our students a paws-itively exciting reason to dive into books by building a fun, engaging collection of stories featuring cats and dogs!

These lovable animals have a special way of capturing children’s hearts, and I believe they can be the perfect gateway to a lifelong love of reading.

Many of our students are still discovering what kind of books they enjoy. When we put the right stories in their hands—books that are funny, warm, and relatable—they begin to see reading as something joyful, not just academic. Animals, especially cats and dogs, bring stories to life in ways that are both comforting and entertaining. They create an emotional connection that keeps kids turning the pages and coming back for more.

By donating books that star furry, four-legged characters, you’re helping us create a library space that’s not just educational but magical. These books will help reluctant readers feel more confident, give animal lovers something to get excited about, and offer every child the chance to discover the simple pleasure of curling up with a good book.
