I need to attend the Tynker Coding for Kids course at the Pathfinders Summer Institute Conference.

We are a small K-5 school filled with students who are wonderful to work with! They are a diverse group of students in terms of race, income, gender, and ability levels, all looking for a chance to be successful. I have students who work at high levels and love to be challenged, down to students who need that nudge.
Many of them struggle with issues adults couldn't deal with, but still find a way to come to school and participate in the learning process.
With that in mind, I pride myself on finding ways to enhance their instruction, engage them, and most of all empower them to be able to exist in the world ahead of them. They always rise to the challenge!
We are a family of learners, myself included. Every day is a new day of learning, loving, and respecting each other. We are an awesome community working hard at being the best that we can be!
I am requesting the opportunity to attend the course,"Tynker Coding for Kids," that is being offered at the Pathfinder's Summer Institute conference. Attending this conference will offer training that will allow me to provide my students with the Computer Science skills they require.
Equity is the elephant in the room, and this conference will allow me to gain strategies for teaching coding using Tynker, thus providing my students with the same opportunities as others.
I am confident that the knowledge I gain from this conference, learning from, and with, teachers from all over the country, will help me to become more effective at bringing coding to my classroom for all my students.
Not only will I share what I learn with my students, but I will share with my colleagues as well. This will enable all of our students to benefit from this wonderful opportunity!
The knowledge gained from this unique experience will directly impact the success of my students and enhance their opportunities in the world of STEM in the future.
