Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students learn in a nontraditional environment. As their school counselor, I want to give them an opportunity to learn about life after graduation and explore careers in a nontraditional way. Our middle school students in grades 6-8 will take part on a year-long passport journey, completing career exploration tasks and documenting them in their own passport. When students have completed a task, such as an interest inventory, they will receive a stamp in their passport. These passports will help to motivate students in their journey and provide an easy way to document their progress. Students will also receive a small reward for completing tasks assigned to their passport journey.
