This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I want to have a Boom Box for my Circle of Friends club, which is made up of Mod/Severe students. Many people experience a particularly intense, euphoric response to music which, because of its frequent accompaniment by an autonomic or psychophysiological component, is sometimes described as “shivers-down-the-spine” or “chills”. Why does music relax me so much?

I want to have a Boom Box for my Circle of Friends club at lunch, which is made up of Mod/Severe students.

Studies have found that listening to music can help calm your nervous system and lower cortisol levels, both of which can help reduce stress. The same goes for making music; research shows that creating can help release emotion, decrease anxiety, and improve overall mental health. The parts of the brain involved in emotion are not only activated during emotional music, they are also synchronized. Music also activates a variety of memory regions. And, interestingly, music activates the motor system
