My Students
My students are amazing! They come to school happy to be here despite the obstacles they face at home. My students are culturally diverse. They come from a variety of backgrounds and are socioeconomically deprived. This doesn't hinder their loving spirit.
My students are motivated and willing to learn and I want to give them the best classroom possible.
Students in surrounding communities often have 21st century supplies and equipment and I want my students to have the same opportunities that their neighbors do so that their futures are just as bright.
My Project
This is my last part of this project. I have been working to replace my normal classroom chairs with comfortable stools to help with my student's learning. So far, my students have loved the new furniture and would choose them over the other chairs.
With these stools, students can fidget and move more freely to help them take charge of their learning that is not always easy for them.
I have noticed when students are given the choice of seating, they focus better while taking notes and participating in the activities. Overall, I have seen many positive changes in the classroom when my students are given the choice of their seating.
