Part 2: Fueling Our Lit Circle Discussions

Help me give my students diverse, engaging books that meet them where they are—at all reading levels—to spark a love of reading and fuel meaningful literature circle discussions.

My Project

This project will transform our literature circles into powerful spaces of connection and growth. What makes my students truly extraordinary is their courage to explore new ideas, their empathy for one another, and their eagerness to grow as readers and thinkers—even when faced with varying reading abilities and challenges. Because our school champions inclusivity, students with diverse reading levels learn alongside one another, enriching our classroom with a vibrant mix of perspectives. This diversity fuels creativity, compassion, and collaboration—and it’s the heartbeat of our learning community.

My students are a constellation of unique voices, each shining with resilience, curiosity, and a hunger for stories that speak to their lives.

By providing six copies of each carefully selected title—from thrilling adventures and heart-wrenching memoirs to coming-of-age stories and intense psychological tales—every student will find a book that challenges and captivates them at their own level. These books will spark rich discussions, ignite empathy, and develop critical thinking as students annotate, question, and share their insights. Together, they’ll build deep understanding and confidence as they navigate stories that reflect a wide range of experiences and voices.

My goal is to build a classroom library that welcomes and empowers every reader, where no student feels left behind or overwhelmed. These books will open doors to new worlds, ignite imaginations, and inspire my students to become bold, thoughtful leaders who value their own stories and those of others.
