This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are wonderful young learners! Working closely with their families we are partnering in their learning journey to prepare for Kindergarten.
These students live in the Ferguson-Florissant school district and their families have been struggling to get through this time of COVID.
While school is currently virtual, students still need to experience hands-on learning and do not have the supplies to provide their own.
These students want to learn and just need the materials to make it happen!
My Project
Being able to provide individual supplies for each kid to do their art, science, and music projects at home during this virtual learning will help the students have hands-on experience away from the computer screen.
Teaching students through different styles of learning is always important, but especially right now when school is virtual.
Using paper and contact paper will be used to create art pieces. Our magnet wand will be used to explore what items are magnetic and what are not, while making scientific guesses and predictions about each item.
