Parent Literacy Engagement Day!

My students need literacy games, alphabet letters, stamps, play dough, letter mats, rhyming and sight word games and activities and materials for our Parent Literacy Day.

My Students

The majority of my students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and 85% qualify for free/reduced-price school lunch. My diverse kindergartners represent a plethora of cultures and linguistic backgrounds, and all of them have something special to share with us!

Our diverse kindergarten classroom is filled with energetic and eager learners ready to learn!

My students are Arabic, Black, Caucasian, Egyptian, Filipino, Vietnamese, Chinese/Vietnamese, Italian/Chinese, and Polish/Chinese. We are learning to be safe, responsible, and respectful in our classroom and school!

My Project

These alphabet literacy games, stamps, and foam letters will be used to engage and motivate parents and students to learn the alphabet letters and sounds in a fun, interactive way. The play dough and letter mats will give students a hands-on, kinesthetic way to learn their uppercase and lowercase letters.

Parents will join our Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes for our Literacy Day to play, teach, and motivate students to learn the letters, sounds, sight words, rhyming words in a fun, engaging, and hands on way!

The sight word games and activities will be used by parents and students to build knowledge of the Kindergarten sight words so students can grow into fluent readers.
