Paper Was Cut But Not With Scissors.

My Students

Do you remember when you worked really hard on something and wanted to show it off? Maybe you framed it or hung it on the refrigerator. A little bit of construction paper can go a long way. It can be a frame for a poetry piece, a card for Mother's Day, or paper model of a story book character.

We are a Title I school.

Title I is an income based demographic for those who can only provide the bare essentials for learning growth. Many of our students are on free and reduced lunch. As we continue to try to provide the essentials such as food from our pantry, clothing, and school supplies we strive to give them a little more--simply because every child deserves it. Sadly, funding has been cut this school year and as we try to evaluate how to better serve our students somethings were cut, for example, construction paper.

My Project

Red, blue, green, orange, or purple? Framing our hard work looks great in any color! Skin colored paper is great for making a representation of ourselves, story book characters, or people in history. When the holidays come around students would be given the opportunity to make cards for someone they care about. This might be the only gift they will be able to give.

My students and team's students could really use this construction paper.

The budget is tight for supplies and construction paper was cut out. However, with your generous support, my class and others will be provided a little construction paper to use to help enhance, support, and inspire learning.
