Paper & Tray

My students need a document tray organizer and the extra paper for their warm ups to be printed out. As a department, we've decided to print out each student a copy of the warm ups to save class time.

My Students

What I love about my students is how many different backgrounds they come from. From low- to high-income to different cultural backgrounds, they all are their own person. When we all come together, our discussions pinpoint their various experiences beautifully and openly. They understand that my classroom is a safe place to talk about not only what we're doing in class, but how what we're doing in class relates to their life.

My students understand that it's okay to fail because they're still learning.

They help each other learn and in the end, they all succeed. They own their moment when they don't understand something, and they openly admit when they need help, which is incredibly brave. It helps them get the help they need and truly learn.

My students are mostly eleventh graders, and this semester, I also have tenth graders. We cover a wide variety of text that spans from easy to read to slightly more difficult than they can manage. This promotes a healthy struggle as they learn how to dissect complex texts.

My Project

Having the basket set will help keep papers separated between the six classes, and the copy paper will go straight towards printing 210 copies of the warmups we've decided to use as a department.

Though we get a box of paper from the school, I'll need over one box JUST for the warmups, about 6,000 pages just for warmups.

This money will go towards that resource. Instead of wasting class time to have students copy down a warm up from a shared set, this will provide us with a few extra minutes of learning every day, which will make a huge difference.
