Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Last night I had a dream that my classroom had “paper to the ceiling!? No longer did I have to worry about our diminishing supply. Currently I teach second grade in a low-income school district in east San Jose. This year my students are writing a lot. I am so proud of their progress. Next month is our Young Author's Fair. For the event the students are publishing all of their stories by mounting them on construction paper. Many of these stories will be laminated and bound into class books. Unfortunately we are running out of construction paper. I am requesting about two dozen packs of construction paper to continue to create these class books and memorable pieces of students work. I am also requesting copy paper to use for their writing practice. Many of my students need some extra help with their penmanship. Currently the students use the backs of lined newsprint paper. I would love to provide them with colored paper so they can have a little more fun with their penmanship practice. Therefore I am requesting two packs of colored copy paper in assorted colors. I know the students will really love working with these new materials. Thank you for considering our proposal. Maybe you can make our dreams come true.
