My students need supplies to assist in their guided reading lessons and paper to make leveled books for them. The paper will allow me to individualize certain books to my students different reading levels.

I am a teacher in a high poverty school district where my students come to school with needs that reach beyond the normal classroom setting. Being aware of these needs and figuring out the best way to address these issues is the only way to assist my students in being fully engaged and ready to learn. My school has a nearly 100% poverty rate which equates to a need for additional resources. While I cannot control their home situations, I can certainly strive to make their school situation the best and most creative experience possible.
My students have a love of learning and a need for activities that are highly engaging and support the curriculum.
They have a love of technology and working in groups that are cooperative. I am hopeful that working with them daily will empower them to be the best students they can be.
My student population arrives in my classroom with many different abilities and challenges. One way I can meet their reading level needs is by providing books for them that are on their instructional levels. In order to do this, I am in need of paper! I have requested reams of paper so that I can print off books at various levels. By printing on paper, my students are also able to take these copies home to read at home and mark them up for All books need paper and this is an efficient way for me to provide for my students.
The best way to become a better reader is to READ!
By utilizing a website I have the ability to make numerous copies of books targeted to specific skills or content my students need.
Using post it notes is an excellent way for me to quickly assess lessons, have students write notes about stories or write a summary of a page. All these assist in my student’s ability to learn and comprehend.
