Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach art at a Title I school in New York City. Most students come from low-income households. My students are enthusiastic about learning art-making which requires much cleanup. It is currently winter and my students are working on charcoal drawing and mask-making projects, which require much cleanup of their stations and their hands. Lately, students are catching colds and they need tissues more often. Soap, tissues and paper towels are needed.
Paper towels, tissues and liquid soap are essential to help students minimize the spread of germs, and for students to clean themselves and the classroom as they pursue their current projects.
