This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love that my students bring two languages and two cultures into the classroom every single day. In our dual immersion setting, they are constantly making connections between English and Spanish, building not only academic skills but also cultural pride and empathy. I am inspired by the way they help one another, celebrate each other’s progress, and embrace challenges as opportunities to grow.

Paper-based materials give students opportunities to annotate, highlight, and take notes in ways that deepen their understanding and engagement.

This simple yet vital supply ensures that my students have the tools they need to actively participate and thrive in their learning.
