Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am an ENL teacher and I teach a variety of different grades. My school is a Title I school and most students come from low-income households; all students receive free breakfast and lunch. I work with many different age groups either in their classroom or I bring them into my classroom. My students are hard-working and enthusiastic about school. The students come from Spanish-speaking households.
All of my students speak a language other than English.
My Project
Being a ENL provider, I differentiate many assignments and make many copies. The copy paper will be beneficial in the classroom because I am always making copies to help each of my students' individual needs. Colored paper is a great way to differentiate work for each of the groups that I work with. They are color-coded by colors and allowing to have different choices of colors will make it smoother to transfer from group to group. Pens are something that are always being used. I like to have each of my students underline important sentences and characters in the story.
Laminating sheets will be used to save work that will get sent home.
