This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are beginning a new unit of study in English Language Arts. They are going to read, analyze, discuss, and write about the themes, characters, setting, and plot of an interesting book called "King and the Dragonflies." This is a novel written by Kacen Callender.

The students have already been set up with their own copy of the book, post it notepads, and a one inch binder where they will keep notes, class handouts, exit tickets, any and all writing material, as well as project planning pages.

I've asked the students to be responsible for bringing loose leaf for the binder to school, but some students are struggling to pay for this supply.

Any and all help would be amazing!
