My students need paper and paint to create original artwork. We need boxes to stay organized and books to read! We need number houses to work on our math skills.
The kids at my school come to school each and every day energized and ready to learn. We are located in the great state of Nebraska. Our school is not a Title I school, so funding for extra supplies is not in the budget. There are students with family serving in the military, students who are English Language Learners, and many more.
The students love to learn, and we need places for things to go so the children have easy access to reach what they need.
Kindergarten is an important year of school for the children.
It is the first year they are working together as a team, so every child can succeed!
My Project
We need more books to read out loud. We need boxes to stay organized and make sure everything has a place and stays neat. The boxes keep our center materials together and we can see what is in each box. The clear boxes also store our floor puzzles so each group can work on their own puzzle. We need file folders to create more reading and math activities.
Our kindergarten classroom needs paint and construction paper to create original artwork and work on our fine motor control.
Multiple colors of both construction paper and paint keep our artwork fresh and beautiful. We create projects around the books that we read.
We need number houses to work on composing and decomposing numbers and work on our fluency in adding two numbers together.
