My Students

We are a rural elementary school (PreK-5) where all students are eligible for free breakfast and lunch. Students who attend this school live 10-25 miles from the nearest real town. Title I preschool is free to all parents who have their child participate in the developmental screening. Preschool is a full day, four days a week for class. We currently have 4 teachers and 66 students.

Our school is a wonderful nurturing environment where families have lived on their farms for generations.

These students are curious and desire to explore the world. It's in the realm of preschool that we first make our connection to school and the wonderful things yet to come.

My Project

We use paper on a daily basis in the preschool world to express our creativity. We cut, color, and draw on paper. We use paper to make signs, cards, letters, and numbers.

While we can do several of these things on whiteboards and chalkboards too, paper allows us to keep a lasting memory.

It also allows us to make games and for the kids to take home. The paper is used in several of our family bookbag activities as well. With all the technology around us, we still need paper!
