My Students
My young students, some of whom had their first day at school today know artists make things. They are eager to explore being artists. They listen well and are motivated. They want to show an audience what they know and how they can visually express it.
My Project
My students have lots of ideas about what makes good art. They also need practice with controlling and refining their fine motor skills. We will use this paper in a variety of watercolor and brushwork exercises to help them build confidence in working with materials.
The paper will also help facilitate displays of their work in the school.
This is important for my students to feel valued, some are in school for the first time. Using regular copy paper can crinkle and tear when wet, this paper would be a tremendous boost to my lessons and their art.
