Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is special because we focus on all the needs our students, teachers, family and what our community needs. Now with distant learning it is becoming a bit of a challenge to provide students with the same instruction via online. As educators we are working before, during and after hours to provide students and their families with what they need to help their students be successful.
My teaching has always been focused on building a classroom culture where students feel supported, encouraged, cared for, understood and appreciated.
Allowing students build this strong relationship in returns helps them perform and want to do better.
I love helping my students become successful and highly encourage them to be excited about what they are learning.
My Project
During this pandemic as a teacher I've had to learn and step out of my comfort zone as I become technology savvy. Luckily our district has put together an ongoing Professional Development platform where we are watching and applying what we are learning. I have become more technology savvy and I able to in return help my students navigate and come up with new exciting lessons.
The items I am asking for will allow me to better monitor and manipulate the technology, lessons, tools, etc that I will be using to teach my students through distant learning.
