My Students
I'm a teacher in a low income, Title I school, and the kids need a lot. The students are faced with many challenges daily, either at home if they don't have food to eat or at school with daily challenges. My class is full of 20 loving, eager and caring students.
My students have many challenges at home which I can not control, but I can control the situation at school.
The students grow so much in a year academically and socially. I am so excited to start this next part of the year with these wonderful students.
My Project
During the current pandemic the students are learning at home. While at home the students are watching me teach on line. It has been challenging and especially for math.
Math requires students to use a lot of hands on materials.
Being able to give them these math materials will help them at home. Some of the hardest concepts in math are number lines and counting on. Using the wipe boards will allow them to use for multiple activities and reusable.
I want to make this as good as we can without being in the classroom.
