This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I know the items requested in this project are mainly for the teacher. I do feel a bit selfish requesting these, yet, it's Teacher Appreciation Week, so I've decided to make a case for it.

I love my hard working students; I make sure to work just as hard to provide a well rounded instructional program for them.

The prep work takes place mostly in front of a computer screen, and it takes a toll on my back. The Covid Years has made me realize the importance of Self Care, and to boldly ask for what I need.

The cushion, back support, and the foot rest will ease strain on my back during instruction and lesson planning. The yoga mat will help me stretch my tight muscles during recess and lunch. And the essential oil diffuser will definitely calm and destress, especially during these hectic last days of school. I'm also requesting a photo backdrop to take my students' "last day of school" photos. The raffle tickets are for students to purchase their end of year goodies.

Thank you for letting me be "pampered" during Teacher Appreciation Week. I love being a teacher, and hope to keep doing it with a strong back.
