This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting dry erase markers, watercolor paints, and Play-Doh. In our classroom, we have dry erase tables and my students love writing on them! Every day, we write sight words on them, practice our weekly spelling words, and solve addition and subtraction equations on them. With all this writing, we go through a lot of markers!! We need to keep up with the demand of our writers with more markers. The watercolor paints will be used to show off some creativity! Students can paint a picture about a story, about themselves, or anything they choose. We try to have some free time away from computers and students love to paint! The Play-Doh will be placed in our "word study" workstation. Students can form the play-doh into different letters when spelling sight words. It is much more fun than writing the words with paper and pencil every week. The play-doh is also great for their fine motor skills as they need to sculpt the letters to form them. These materials will help all students improve their academic skills. Thank you for your support!!
