Painting Starry Night!

My students need tempra paint, construction paper crayons, Van Gogh inspired large puzzles, an Art STEAM box and drawing paper to create our Van Gogh inspired masterpiece.

My Students

My students consist of Pre-Kindergarten - 5th grade artists with varying exceptionalities. My students are part of a rural community in central Florida with limited resources, and 65% of our students are receiving free or reduced-price lunch.

Learning through the integration of art is essential to my students' educational and personal growth as lifelong learners.

Art allows them to see the world through many different lenses. Nothing compares to the look a child gets when they have pride in something they have created. I strive to give my students the opportunity to achieve this experience each and every day.

My Project

These materials will help give my students the genuine, hands-on art experience. The drawing paper will allow them to utilize proper drawing paper for their masterpieces. Additionally, the paint, class pack of construction paper, crayons, art STEAM Box, and Van Gogh puzzles will supply them with different mediums to work with to create a Van Gogh inspired masterpiece.

With every line or brush stroke, an artist has been created.

I love seeing the art that my students create, and the look in their eyes when they show me. With these materials they will have more tools and more opportunities to accomplish their goals. Art is tied to all parts of life, and my students want to explore it all!
