Painting Rocks and Sculpting Clay with the School Social Worker

My Project
I plan to use the craft materials in small social skills groups or when working with individual students. I plan to use them both proactively and as a calming strategy. My goals are for my students to learn to work together in a small group including creating art projects. Additionally, I hope my students can learn and feel how calming art projects or craft projects can be. It also helps that they are very interested specifically in painting rocks and creating projects with clay. I hope these materials will help students identify a new skill they can use and a new calming strategy for them to use.
