This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach Spanish levels one and two at a Title I school in the Los Angeles area. After the Pandemic, it has been a challenge engaging students in my class. I have tried different strategies, and one that has been working is the implementation of art through many forms. For this project, I am asking for canvas and acrylic Pens to have my students recreate art from different Hispanic artists. I truly believe that my students will engage in recreating paintings. These paintings will also help them practice their Spanish because they will have to describe the

art that they choose.
