My students need wonderful art supplies including washable paint, paint trays and brushes to create amazing projects in the classroom and for them to use at home.

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach at a title 1 high impact school in downtown Savannah. About 95% of our students receive free lunch. We have students from single family homes that often only have structure when they are at school. Most of our students come from single parent homes with multiple siblings. My students want to learn, but they do not have the support system that is needed to sometimes make them strive for excellence in the classroom. I am the only support system they have and my job is to make learning fun and enjoyable for them.

My Project

I am asking for washable paint, paint trays and brushes. I would like these art supplies to help my students create projects in class and paint great pictures. Also, the set of plastic write boards will help students enjoy doing their work. They could share papers without messing them up.

I want my students to get the most out of their learning and if they find it enjoyable they will want to do more of it.

I think these supplies will be a great addition to my students and my classroom. I want my students to have everything possible to help them enhance their learning in school.
