This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My students have really enjoyed painting and expressing themselves through out. Art provides students with opportunities to express themselves creatively, develop critical thinking skills and cultivate a deeper understanding of the world around them. I would like to give my students paint by number kits, aprons, paint set, and paint bags to keep. This day will give experiences to students that need to express themselves, whether it is on canvas or paper.
My students will learn that there is more than one way to complete the art project.
They are able to express themselves and their emotions through the artwork. Students also have the opportunity to interpret other artwork, either from classmates or in famous works of art.
