Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Painting is considerably one of the best ways to tell life stories, observations, and even show emotions that one cannot express in words. I would like to cater my students’ need to learn the basics, and then help them hone their skills by teaching them techniques in acrylic painting. They then can use their learnings in expressing themselves in a more gentle way through painting as they improve not just mentally but also in their emotional intelligence and emotional growth.
My students love to paint, but we lack the materials which is essential to the learning process.
I can tell because they are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a painting task. Having the basic supplies could give them opportunities to develop their painting skills, pursue much further while building their self-esteem and confidence of becoming one of the greatest painters from this generation. Your donations of painting supplies will encourage my students to paint their dreams and do more. Your support to them will be their building foundation in making these dreams come true.
