it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have awesome students and we get to do super fun things! However with limited budget and time I do everything I can to help minimize set up and down time during class. Hair dryers and ice cube trays may seem like an odd classroom request however these items are gold in my art room!
There is nothing more frustrating to a student than having to wait for paint to dry before you can continue to work on your projects, hair dryers are the simple solution to this daily problem in my art room.
Hair dryers allow students to dry the part they painted and keep working in the same class period.
Distributing paint is the trickest part of painting. As an art teacher I have tried a lot of different solutions that allow for us to resuse paint from class to class and minimize paint waste. I recently discovered that silicon ice cub trays with lids are the perfect solution to be able to save paint, make set up and clean up go quicker and reduce waste.
This project is really about being able to maximize student work time and stretch my budget. These two items would go a long way in helping me do both.
