My students need basic art and craft supplies such as markers, paint, glue, and tissue paper. Many students entering kindergarten have never even held a paint brush! Help me paint them a brighter future.
In my school district, poverty effects almost every student. Located in rural Montana on an Indian reservation, over 80% of students qualify for free lunch and more than 50% enter Kindergarten without any prior early childhood education. Many students enter Kindergarten having never written their name or read a book, much less held a paint brush. While it may seem hard to believe in this day and age, poverty directly impacts every facet of their lives and affects their ability to learn and communicate with the world around them.
I desperately need your assistance to help the kindergarten students in my school escape the barriers of poverty and provide them with the opportunities to be successful in school and life.
We have approximately 100 creative kindergarten students who are eager to learn. Your donation will enable us to provide creative and engaging art activities that will develop and foster a love for learning, while allowing them to express themselves in creative and meaningful ways. School is more than just ABC's and 123's. It's about developing a passion for life-long learning through engaging and meaningful activities. Please help us to make their learning exciting, engaging, and meaningful.
Our yearly classroom budget is $200, making it impossible to purchase a variety of consumable art supplies with our yearly budgets. This project will directly impact over 100 students this year, and for several years to come. An easy access space will be provided for supplies to be stored. Teachers can grab the supplies and use them as needed. We are requesting supplies such as tempera, acrylic and water color paint, Elmers and craft glue, tissue paper, googly eyes, Mr. Sketch smelly markers (the kid's LOVE these) and a variety of other supplies will be available for use through this project. Your donation will allow teachers in my school to paint a brighter future one project at a time!
