Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In homeroom, we work on skills such as mindfulness, academic planning, self-efficacy and beyond. My students would love to practice mindfulness by having a class set of watercolors that they can use to paint artistic pieces.
Promote health and wellness and make a difference in my students' learning by giving them an artistic outlet.
With these watercolor paints, a calm environment will be created through painting in what may otherwise be a chaotic day for students. These activities will help teach my students to focus and redirect their attention to a positive activity. For many, it may help alleviate stress. This is a gift that will serve us all year long and encourages a skill that students can turn to for the rest of their lives!
