Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach fine arts to Preschool- 8th grade. My students always come into art excited! They want to know what we will be working on and what material they get to use. Whenever a new material is introduced to them it sparks their curiosity to explore. I am working with my students to develop not only their art skill and technique, but to expand their exploration, trial and error, and grit. My goal is for my students to enhance their independent learning in the art studio.

My Project

These art materials will be used my fine arts classes to expand the art curriculum for my Kindergarten - 8th grade students. My students love working with new art material, but have often been limited by what supplies are available. By donating to this project you will be helping students learn to work with materials they have never used before.

The art materials donated will be used to fill the art room, the school, and their homes with color, creativity, and inspiration.

Most of my students will be using plaster gauze, molds, ink, calligraphy pens, quality paper, and canvas for the first time to create these inspirational works of art.
