Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I school located in a predominantly Hispanic and African American neighborhood. My students are excited to learn, create, and express themselves through artistic experimentation. While they may be short on funds, they have an abundance of creativity and imagination.

My Project

The impact of COVID-19 has drastically limited the type of projects my students can complete, and the materials they have had access to. These paints, paint sticks, and paper will allow my students to express themselves freely. Filling this order will also provide my classroom with much needed supplies. Now that classes are full, the amount of supplies needed to adequately run a lesson has drastically increased. My students will use these supplies to create independent works, practice tactile learning, and improve their hand eye coordination. The addition of these supplies is a necessity.
