My students need a Epson color printer to print out their designs and work in color, ink cartridges, along with a roll of paper and a paper cutter that will allow them to create murals.
Help us paint, print and share our work. To do that we need a roll of paper with a trimmer to create murals. An Epson printer would help us print out what we have written so that we can share our descriptions and our ideas.
Fifth grade is so exciting, especially in New York City where we are so lucky to have one of the most diverse cities in the world.
Our neighborhood is in Queens, where so many cultures and languages are represented. The international school community we serve is as colorful as the resources we are requesting. Art is very important as a means of expression for young learners and that requires the materials to do so. We want to paint it, print it and share it and one way is to include a printer to make multiple copies of our writing. We already have one printer, but with our large class, one just isn't enough. We are trying to keep up with the creative minds and that means lots of printing. The paper roll and trimmer would give us a paper supply for our work that would allow us to determine the size of our displays. The roll of paper and trimmer are probably the most efficient and flexible way to customize our murals or canvas as we decide how large our art displays should be.
My Project
My students need an Epson color printer, ink to print out our work, and a roll of paper and trimmer, since they are wonderfully compatible as art and literacy partners. Our classroom has limited space and we try to use it to best advantage. That means we have to be creative in ways to store our resources, especially paper and technology. We realize that a roll of paper on a trimmer would allow us to determine how big our art projects would be and we could customize size using the trimmer on which the paper roll would be mounted. The Epson printer is essential if we are to print out our digital reflections in color to best display our work. This printer with color ink would be a great complement to our artwork by facilitating our ability to print in color the art descriptions and research behind the work we hope to hang in the hallways and in our classroom. Technology and art are a good way to combine traditional ways of expressing student work with newer ones (the Epson printer).
Bringing resources to the class that encourage student creativity and literacy, sends a message to parents that we value how and what the children learn.
The paper roll and trimmer would save so much space, while providing the benefit of an adequate supply of art paper. The printer would guarantee our ability to continue to print copies to share with our parents and with our school. Our request for ink would keep us supplied for a large class, making art and literacy splendid partners.
