Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project is focused on different parts of my class routines and will be used for instruction and class management. My students are missing acrylic paints in the classroom for basic painting during Art. Their folders will be used to store their art projects. The multipack will help them mix the colors they need and will last for the remainder of the school year.
Additionally, the bulk of this project is for a brand new class prize box.
The box is a "treasure box" design and I have included various toys of high interest to my students. My students enjoy their fidget pop-its, erasers, and other trinkets that I know they will love. This class prize box will be a great addition to my PBIS classroom management. With this management system, positive behavior is encouraged and reinforced. My students will earn points so they are able to visit the treasure chest. This will motivate students to follow basic directions in the class, and stay on task. I believe that this is a missing piece in my classroom that will only make my class management better. It will also bring my students a lot of joy and excitement as they look forward to different prizes throughout the week!
