This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach high school art and the class in need is an advanced class. They are creating portfolios for evaluation of the IB program. Most of these students are remarkable and will qualify for college scholarships. Classes like mine allow them to get ahead in college by earning credit early.

My Project

Our students are all learning online, including my art classes. I have used all my resources to get them supplies and came up short in the watercolor area.

The students need to produce a portfolio exhibit of diverse work for evaluation that could lead to college credit.

These supplies will help them explore many of the available mediums that they can use for their portfolio and exhibit.

I have given them as much as our school could afford and came up short in a few areas. The students are excelling with what they have. Watercolor and painting could provide them additional tools as they prepare to present their best work.
