Painless Play!

My students need RHINO (soft) dodgeballs and RHINO Soft volleyballs to for safer play and to remove the intimidation factor!

My Students

We are a fairly newly formed rural middle school (4th year), which is a result of school closures to help keep our school corporation in business. The middle school is comprised of about 200 students in grades 6-8. The challenges are great. Our students live in a poverty-stricken county and go to school in a financially strapped school corporation. Over half of the students in the corporation receive free or reduced price meals. Many of our families struggle to make ends meet.

Despite our humble beginnings, our students and school personnel take pride in our school.

My colleagues and I believe in making the most of the opportunity that we have to make a difference to the children who have been entrusted to our care. In spite of limited resources, we strive to offer our students extraordinary learning opportunities.

My Project

The equipment that I am excited to receive are items that will enhance our program by making the activities safer and less intimidating for the students. I am ordering the RHINO dodgeballs because they are soft and safer and they don't sting like the rubber balls do when a student comes in contact with one. The 12 dodgeballs that I currently have were bought three years ago and have become quite worn with one ball being held together with tape.

The RHINO Soft volleyballs I am ordering is something that has been needed for a long time.

It is very intimidating for a beginning volleyball student to learn using the regulation volleyball. It is especially difficult on my 6th graders because their arms are so little that it stings when the regulation ball is used. Also, when we begin playing games it is very difficult to get any rallys going with the regulation ball in play.
